Signed up for the Medium route and plan to cycle down to Lochwinnoch and back
  2. This route is very much weather permitting as the forecast looks wet at the moment with 13 mph winds so this could change between now and Sunday. This weeks Sunday ride we will combine both rings and split at 25 miles in. This Sunday we will leave the Abbey at 9am as usual, heading out towards Inchinnan,,Bishopton,Ingleston and loop on to Houston where we will head for BOW and the famous Torr Rd where we will take a left and climb up and over Carruthmuir and down into Howood (The wee ring can split at Howood and head for Paisley roughly 30 miles) the rest will carry on up the Bowfield then head up past Greenacres and head for the Canny man where we will return to the Abbey via Lochlibo Rd. Approximately 40 miles and 2048 ft. of climbing. And 30 miles for the wee ring. Bring a helmet, spare tubes, tools, nutrition and a drink Plenty fluids. Money for coffee/tea, and a mobile phone......and your bike!! As it is into winter riding bikes should have lights and mudguards fitted ( THE POLIS WILL BE WATCHING ) A few new roads on there for a lot of us, so please LOOK AT THE ROUTE AND FAMILIARISE YOURSELF WITH IT! You might be on the front when it's time to turn, make sure you know when and where! We are only as fast as the slowest rider, regrouping top of hills, we start together, we finish together. All winter rides are subject to change on the day due to weather. Please keep an eye on the Wattsap Chat . Leaving from Paisley Town Hall at 9am, so get there just before 8.50am! https://www.strava.com/routes/17054692 Mark

Hi Don this sounds good to me so count me in ........ its my birthday that day so ill eat Colins cake 😀
  4. Sunday looks a poor day for cycling see below from Derek : Clearly we are in the midst of very wintery weather this week. We changed our route last wee due to the wind so I am not plotting a particular route this week. We will watch the forecast over the next day or 2 and if it is safe to go out on roads bikes then we will be out! However, if you like your off road riding then watch out for a post for a ride off the beaten track, perhaps up the Glennifer Braes. Might be tempted myself for the first time!! Thanks Derek

Scroll down to select the ‘Privacy Zones’ option. Select the ‘Add’ button in the upper right-hand corner.
