The weather is looking as good as it has done all month, which is not saying very much at all. The proposed route for this Sunday is down to Largs. We'll go down the track towards Lochwinnoch then up and over the Haylie Brae and down to town for a cafe stop. Will decide on the route back at that point but there are a few options depending on the weather (including the train!)
Keep your eye on the whatsapp group in the morning for any updates. If the weather is truly manky we may change plans.

Terry explained how 8 members agreed to run Club last October and after meeting last Nov, the following was agreed.

Committee members can hold more than 1 position in Club.
Role of Club Captain - to maintain membership of British/Scottish Cycling and CTT
to liaise/meet with British/Scottish Cycling/CTT
to assist / support other committee members.
Role of Vice Club Captain - to support Club Captain
to act as secretary to Club
to assist/support other members of the committee.
Role of the Treasurer - Maintain all financial affairs of the Club
Collect membership fees and maintain membership lists
Control all Club spending
Complete Tax return.
The above was voted on by the members present and was unanimously approved.

Back to 3 rings this summer - Wee, Middle and Big
A Calendar of rides for the year has been developed and will be posted on website, however there will be rolling 6 week program from the calendar which will also be posted on website. This program will give more info on distance, elevation and Ride Captain.
Start times will remain at 9am at the abbey on a Sunday, however this may be adjusted due to length of run, if cars are needed or weather.
There will be a Saturday Fast Bunch, Captained by Gavin or Mark, meeting 8am at the Abbey - Route is IBM.
There will also be a Tuesday Chaingang ride Captained by Terry or Andy McL, meeting 6.30 at the Abbey - Route is West Ferry/Clune/Georgetown

Saturday 6th June - Social 2up TT followed by BBQ at Boarding House.
Teams of 2 selecting 1 from Big/middle ring and 1 from wee ring
Both members must be on front at least twice
Route - Georgetown.
10th June for 10 weeks Georgetown League TT - members to enter as individuals if they wish

23rd July to 27th August - Club TT competition.
split into 3 groups (committee decides cut off times)
prizes for 1,2,3 overall + best in group2 and group 3.

Course is from Car Park in the Sky ( Glennifer Braes) to Canny Man ( approx)
Timekeeping - will be via Strava segment
Following this there will be a full Club Ride ( all rings)

Andy gave a brief summary of the history of the Club kit - there has been 4 previous kit designs and outlined a summary of our current supplier Pactimo.
Tahir explained the benefits of new supplier Endura - Scottish Manufacturer

The meeting then had a chance to view the 2 designs shortlisted and were able to feel and try on samples of the type of jerseys and jackets.
The meeting was then asked to vote on which design they liked best and Design 1 was overwhelmingly approved.
This is mainly Black with a Broad Green band across the chest and back with Club logo.
The right hand sleeve and shoulder sport a Paisley Pattern design with green armbands to finish incorporating the Club logo again.

Bib shorts will remain same design as current.
Outer wear - waterproof / winter Jackets will follow current outer wear design with vertical green stripe
There are several options of jersey, s/s,l/s,
All Options and prices will be made known seperatly as will the order process.
This is a major change for the Club and delivers a modern design incorporating the famous Paisley Pattern.
There is no compulsion on members purchasing the new kit, and there will be mixed kit on display on rides, this is the current situation as we have a totally different design of jerseys and jackets at present.
Racing - British/Scottish Cycling this year allow us to register 2 kits/jerseys with them
CTT do not stipulate a specific kit - just that it must cover shoulders and torso.
Members who have purchased race kit - skin suits etc are able to continue racing in the current kit

Terry Nelson gave a presentation to Derek McBurnie - ( Past Chairman ) for his service and guidance to the Club over the last 3 years.
( gifts also reserved for Liam McDaid and Greame Galbraith)
Terry summed up the evening with a list of official events Club members have entered for the coming season, including sportives and trips away.
This evening represents a step forward for the Club, with a new committee, a program of events, rides and competitions and a new Kit design.
It has taken several months and a bit of work to get to this point and I would like to thank all my fellow committee members for their hard work, input and commitment.
